Trainify AI ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you use the Trainify AI mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Fitness profile: goals, experience level, equipment, training schedule, and optional name
• Workout logs: exercises completed, sets, reps, weights, and session duration
• Habit data: water intake, steps, sleep hours, and mood (entered manually or synced)
• Body weight entries you choose to log
• Coach check-in responses and notes

Information from Apple Health (optional)

With your explicit permission, we may read step count and sleep analysis data from Apple Health to auto-fill your habit tracker. We do not write data to Apple Health. You can revoke access anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Trainify AI.

Automatically collected information

• App usage stored locally on your device (workout history, streaks, preferences)
• Subscription status via Apple's StoreKit / RevenueCat (when enabled)

We do not require account creation. Profile and workout data are stored locally on your device using iOS storage (UserDefaults) unless otherwise stated.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Generate and adjust personalised workout plans
• Track progress, streaks, and personal records
• Provide AI coach check-in responses and plan adjustments
• Send optional workout reminder notifications (with your permission)
• Process subscriptions through Apple's payment system

3. AI Features

Trainify AI uses rule-based logic and may optionally use third-party AI services (e.g. OpenAI) to generate coaching messages and plan adjustments. If live AI is enabled, anonymised fitness context (goals, workout history summaries) may be sent to the AI provider. We do not send your name or Apple ID to AI providers.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only:

• With Apple for subscription and payment processing
• With service providers that help us operate the App (e.g. analytics or AI APIs), under confidentiality agreements
• When required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Retention

Data stored on your device remains until you delete the App or use Reset Onboarding in Settings. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device.

6. Your Rights & Choices

• Revoke HealthKit access in iOS Settings
• Disable notifications in iOS Settings or in-app Settings
• Reset or delete your data via in-app Settings
• Cancel subscriptions through Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Contact us to request information about data we hold

7. Children's Privacy

Trainify AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect data. Local data is stored within your device's secure sandbox. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. International Users

If you access the App from outside your country of residence, your data may be processed in accordance with this policy and applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
